CAFÉ CLOSING CONFERENCE

Cafés are known for providing a space where guests can linger for longer periods of time, thereby fostering a sense of community and often attracting writers, artists, philosophers, and intellectuals.
The project’s main focus is on the legacy of European café house culture, which defined the Age of Enlightenment, and in which most “European values” are rooted.
The project focuses primarily on the legacy of European coffeehouse culture, which defined the Age of Enlightenment, and in which most “European values” are rooted. The project aims to revive this declining culture with the help of artists, building on a legacy that served as the driving force of social change until the early 20th century.
The project not only aims to return to the roots of today’s Europe, but also revives the period when artists were the driving force behind social change and shaped many of today’s values. As Europe faces new challenges, it can revive this tried-and-true approach and build on its strengths to once again turn to art in search of answers to these challenges.
The closing conference will be held in September in Budapest, and the event will be attended by all members of the consortium, as well as café house experts, cultural organizers, researchers, and collaborating partners, to discuss their experiences, summarize the project’s results, and, if necessary, discuss next steps.
At the closing conference, café house experts and organizers will finalize and sign the European Café House Network’s Code of Conduct and Manifesto.
The event is part of the CAFÉ project, co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.
