RAMON GROSOS&BOTOND SZŐCS

As part of the international CAFE project, we invite you to the Maks Bookstore & Café on Saturday morning for a very special artistic gathering where visual art and music will come together over a cup of coffee.
We will be hosting Romanian painter Ramon Grosos, whose vibrant colors bring to life works full of light, energy, and vitality, as well as renowned pianist Botond Szőcs, a concert pianist and educator with a rich international career.
Over morning coffee, visitors will be able to watch a painting take shape live, accompanied by piano music performed by Botond Szőcs. The relaxed morning atmosphere will offer an opportunity to experience an artistic dialogue between painting and music, as well as to socialize informally with both artists.
Ramon Grosos:
Born in St. George, Romania in 1977, Ramon Grosos has become well-known for his use of vibrant colors that elicit light, life, energy.
From early age, he has observed and studied art and life, he has passion for expressing himself using impressionist/figurative or abstract views on canvas.
He is included in the DIZIONARIO ENCICLOPEDICO INTERNAZIONALE D’ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA 2008, Editura Alba, Ferrara, Italy. Also, has exhibited in international events such as the International Exhibition of Contemporary and Religious Plastic Arts of London, UK; or Salon International d’Arte Plastique Contemporaine, Paris, France 2005.
In 2008, he became Associated Academician of the Department of Arts at Accademia Internazionale “Greci – Marino”, Accademia Del Verbano, Di Lettere, Arti, Scienze from Vinzaglio, Italy.
The artist was awarded the “Michelangelo Buonarroti 2008” International Prize; “Premio ALBA 2008″ Italian Prize; Leonardo daVinci 2009” International Prize; “Premio Speciale Diritti Umani 2009”; “Vincent van Gogh” 2011 (International)

Ramon Grosos is also Honorific Member of Associazione Culturale “Italia in Arte”, Brindisi.

Botond Szőcs:
” I graduated from the Faculty of Music at Transilvania University of Brașov, where I studied under the guidance of the distinguished Professor Dr. Stela Drăgulin, one of the leading figures of the international piano school.
In 2024, I was awarded my PhD in Music, and I currently serve as a Lecturer at the Faculty of Music of Transilvania University of Brașov. Alongside my academic work, I am the Music Director, Conductor, and Pianist of the Tamási Áron Theatre in Sfântu Gheorghe. I also teach at the Plugor Sándor School of Arts and the Popular School of Arts in Sfântu Gheorghe.
My solo career began at the age of 17 with the Sibiu State Philharmonic Orchestra. Since then, I have performed as a soloist with numerous renowned Romanian symphony orchestras, including those in Brașov, Sibiu, Craiova, Arad, Satu Mare, Pitești, Râmnicu Vâlcea, Bacău, Galați, Brăila, and Odorheiu Secuiesc, and have also collaborated with the Teleradio Orchestra of Moldova.
Throughout my concert career, I have performed in the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Greece, Malta, Hungary, Montenegro, Moldova, China, Vietnam, Dubai, and Cuba.
Most recently, in May and June 2025, I was invited to perform in Japan as a guest artist. As part of Japan Expo, I gave several concerts, proudly representing my country and sharing my artistic vision with international audiences.”
