CAFÉ: Redifining Café Houses as unique European Cultural Heritage – roundtable discussion

What does the future hold for Europe’s cultural café houses?

Recorded at the CAFÉ project’s closing conference on 29 September 2026 at Adaptér in Budapest, this roundtable discussion focuses on the future of the Network of European Café Houses. Bringing together Tibor Bosznai, Vitor Marques and Orsolya Janota and other café house representatives and project partners the conversation looks ahead to the network’s continued development beyond the project.

Against the backdrop of Europe’s rich café heritage, the session considers opportunities for connection and cooperation among café houses as spaces for culture, creativity and community. It marks both the conclusion of the CAFÉ project and the beginning of a new chapter for its growing European network.

The CAFÉ project is co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.
