Where Painting and Music Meet at Hadik
The multidisciplinary arts program held at the Hadik Café was based on a collaboration between painter Ramon Grosos and pianist Botond Szőcs. During the event, visual art and music engaged in a dialogue, creating an opportunity for the audience to experience the convergence of these two distinct art forms directly within the café space. The program was organized in collaboration with Szimpla, the Sepsiszentgyörgy partner of the CAFÉ project, and was attended by 40 people.
The event reinforced the coffeehouse’s role as a gathering place for the arts. Bringing together various art forms served to offer a contemporary reinterpretation of the coffeehouse’s cultural heritage, while the program presented Hadik as an open cultural platform capable of embracing and connecting other artistic fields and creative practices alongside its literary tradition.
The collaboration with the partner in Sfântu Gheorghe strengthened the project’s international and networking dimensions and created an opportunity to forge cultural ties between artists and audiences associated with the partner institutions. The event thus served simultaneously to foster artistic collaboration, engage the public, and ensure the contemporary continuation of the cultural heritage of the coffeehouse.

The event is part of the CAFÉ project, co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.
